David J. Doyaga, Sr., Esq.

David has been in private practice specializing in Bankruptcy since 1981. Throughout his 40+ year career, David has helped over 10,000 families and individuals rid themselves of many millions of dollars of debt.
David is Board Certified in both Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification. Since 1992 he has been a United States Bankruptcy Trustee for the Eastern District of New York. Since 1995 he has been serving as the Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association. David is a past President of both the Brooklyn Bar Association and the Pro Bono Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc.
David has been regularly recognized for his efforts. In 1992 he received the Brooklyn Bar Association Distinguished Service Award. From the New York State Bar Association in 1994 he received the Pro Bono Certificate of Achievement Award and, in 1998, the President’s Pro-Bono Service Award. In 2008, David received the Freda S. Nisnewitz award for Service to the poor of Brooklyn and is a 2009 Empire State Counsel Honoree.

David is admitted to the Bars of States of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida, as well as the Federal Courts of the District of New Jersey, the Eastern and the Southern District of New York, Southern District of Pennsylvania, the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

P. Lane O’Shea, Esq.

As a partner in the firm of Doyaga & O’Shea Lane brings more than 20-years of experience supporting her clients’ needs – including individuals, partnerships, and small and large business organizations.
She has extensive experience investigating challenges, evaluating facts and circumstances, and developing a path forward under a variety of laws, rules, and regulations including those promulgated by Federal agencies such as the Securities Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Additionally, she is well versed supporting small businesses and their unique governance, operational, and legal needs, from contract negotiations, developing policies and procedures, and managing cash flow challenges. Lane believes that all clients deserve dedicated representation designed to achieve a positive outcome.
Throughout her career Lane has and continues to rely upon one simple truth – every challenge can be resolved. In the practice of bankruptcy this simple truth is on full display. The United States Bankruptcy Code, the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and a host of local rules promulgated by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey are the foundation for helping those in debt reset and start again. Lane is a passionate advocate for those who can benefit from these opportunities.
Lane is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York as well as the Federal Court of the District of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
